Mike Bernard sold his first painting from the Bluecoat Gallery whilst he was a student at the Art High School, Gambier Terrace-just down the road from here... "it's a pity it's not still there."
He taught for a couple of years in St Gerard's, Boundary street before moving to the west of Ireland with his wife, Jenny.
They built their house overlooking Clew Bay in County Mayo where Mike began painting full time.
Since then he has exhibited widely in Ireland and his works are in many collections both public and private in the UK, Ireland, America and Japan.

There is no overall theme to this exhibition.
The work is born out of a love of colour and the natural world and is rooted in personal experience. Exhibition pieces include mixed media, painting and mirror works. The majority of the material used to create each piece is recycled or found.
Louise teaches art, sculpture and music in Liverpool and beyond as a freelance community arts practitioner.
This collection celebrates the fact that she has finally come up with some work she did all by herself.
