Catrina joined the board in 2014.

A highly experienced consultant combining sophisticated experience in facilitation as well as leadership, team and strategy development for a diverse range of organisations.
A seasoned board and committee member and mentor with more than 10 years’ experience in housing and cultural organisations.

1999 – present
I set up my own consultancy business in 1999 and now specialise in facilitation and strategy, team and leadership development.
Recent assignments include:
  • Facilitation of strategy development workshops for 9 business units within a major UK organisation
  • Design and delivery of strategy implementation and team development workshops for the Global Digital Communications Team at Unilever in a programme including workshops, development, dialogue and telephone coaching
  • Team development for the leadership team at Skanska Civil Engineering involving designing, delivering and facilitating residential events for the team
  • Business and leadership development with the top team at Manchester Sport and Leisure Trust as they created an independent and distinctive organisation having inherited Manchester’s Commonwealth Games infrastructure
  • Work with a range of small businesses and entrepreneurs to turn ideas into practical, achievable business plans
  • Group facilitation at two Government consultations on Pensions and on Nuclear Power
  • Leadership development work includes:
  • Design and delivery of modular leadership programmes including classroom and online modules, action learning, coaching and networking for Legal & General, ICG, BOC and the BBC.
  • Leadership development interventions for clients including Sainsbury, 3M, Time Warner, Clifford Chance and GE Healthcare
  • Transfer of UK leadership programmes to international markets including South Korea, Hong Kong and Dubai
Board Experience:

Plus Dane Housing Group
I am Deputy Chair of the Board of Plus Dane, a Housing Association with a turnover of £50m, over 800 employees and 18,000 properties in ownership or management in the North West of England. I sit on the HR Committee and a working group reviewing governance for the organisation. I previously chaired one of the Group’s subsidiary boards and sat on the shadow board for the merger of Plus and Dane. I have been a Plus Dane Board member for 10 years.

Sefton Park Palm House Preservation Trust
2002 - 2010
As a trustee of the SPPHPT I contributed to the development of the organisation’s vision, mission and strategy and worked on the challenges of maintaining a viable commercial organisation (the Trust had no core funding) and a distinctive public access and cultural programme. I also worked on the skills development of the Palm House team and on the recruitment of key roles. I have volunteered as a Mentor for Business in the Arts since 2005. During this time I have mentored individuals from Eden Arts, the Arts Council, Liverpool Philharmonic, FACT, Liverpool Biennial and the Tate.
