Arts Award

unitytheatre is an Arts Award Supporter, providing activities for schools and young people aged 7 - 25 who want to develop as artists and arts leaders and are taking part in the “Arts Award” national qualification.

Want to do your Arts Award?
Although we support Arts Award and run a range of linked activities, currently we cannot help you through the process of doing your Arts Award. You will need to contact a local Arts Award centre -you can find these on the Arts Award Centre Map at www.artsaward.org.uk/centremap

For more information about the national Arts Award project, look up www.artsaward.org.uk.

Community - The Y Project

We work extensively throughout our local community. Our latest work - The Y Project, is funded by Liverpool City Council's Disarm Partnership and is an education resource produced by Unity Theatre for use by young people, parents, teachers, youth workers, health and housing professionals, probation, youth offending and police officers.

It features short films and presentations which highlight some of the factors leading to gun and knife use and illustrates the potential consequences of carrying and using weapons. It signposts support and provides examples of some of the good practice developed by our partners. For more information click here.

Placement & Mentoring Programme

We are offering 5 day work placements for people aged 16 – 21 years in connection with selected productions at unitytheatre. To find out more click here.
