With members of the creative company, plus some very special guests including: 

Dr Suzanne (Suzi) Gage 

Dr Suzi Gage is a psychologist and epidemiologist who is interested in the nature of associations between lifestyle behaviours and mental health. In particular, she is interested in the impact of recreational drug use on mental health and vice versa.

She is a lecturer at the University of Liverpool, has written for Guardian, The Economist, The Conversation, The Telegraph and The Lancet Psychiatry publication.

She also produced the popular science podcast, "Say Why to Drugs".

Alan Matthews 

Alan’s professional experience began way back in 1985 when he conducted the first ethnographic study of young heroin users on Merseyside. He helped establish the first HIV prevention initiatives, the first needle exchange and outreach projects for drug injectors, crack users and sex workers. He was the founding editor of The Mersey Drugs Journal and The International Journal On Drug Policy.

In 1990, Alan began developing social marketing approaches to promote harm reduction amongst recreational drug users in the burgeoning rave scene. He produced the first harm reduction campaign for Ecstasy users – Chill Out. Throughout the 1990s he conducted research into the lifestyles and behaviour of young people involved in dance culture.

Professor Harry Sumnall

Prof Harry Sumnall is Professor of Substance Use at the Public Health Institute at Liverpool John Moore’s University. His research focuses on the impacts of substance use, and interventions and policies to improve health. Harry is a member of the U.K. Government Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, a Trustee of the charity Mentor U.K., and a scientific advisor to the MIND Foundation which supports scientific research into psychedelic drugs in Europe.
