Meet the cast of this year's Unity Christmas show Beauty and the Beast! They've been working monstrously hard on the show in rehearsals, so lets find out a bit more about them!
Stephen is a performer, workshop facilitator, Associate Artist for Amplified Theatre, Lead Artist for DH Ensemble and teaches mask workshop trained by Vamos Theatre. He recently had been assistant directing for Handprint’s Moonbird and new plays for Amplified.
Theatre credits include Love's Labour's Lost (Shakespeare's Globe), The Government Inspector (Birmingham Rep) and Reasons to be Cheerful (Graeae/New Wolsey/TRSE)
TV & Film credits include Dawn of the Deaf (Shadowhouse), How to Mug a Deaf Person (Greensville) and adverts for Smirnoff.
Simone is a Gaulier trained physical performer, clown and puppeteer originally from Cape Town, South Africa.
Recent work include A Story for All Seasons, Beneath the Waves, from here to there, Space Hoppers (Tell Tale Hearts), Suitcase Stories (Sheffield Theatres), Forgotten Things (Red Ladder), Augustus and His Smile (Face Up Theatre), Statik (Action Transport Theatre) Finding Joy (Vamos Theatre), Whatever the Weather (M6 Theatre), Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf (Unity Theatre), and Vulture's Song (Theatre Company Blah Blah Blah).
Edward trained in traditional acting at ALRA, in London and in physical theatre at Paris’s Ecole Jacques Lecoq and have been working as an actor for 12 years, specialising in physical theatre, children's theatre and Shakespeare. Edward is currently touring Super Hamlet 64, a video game version of Hamlet, and Too Pretty To Punch, a show about transphobia, while also developing a new multimedia show for kids about robots and autism.
