Unity Theatre are looking for an interim Artistic Director to lead on this year’s programme. Recent changes have created a unique opportunity for an artistic programmer to leave their mark on the Merseyside artistic community with Unity.

Unity is in an extremely exciting period of development. Over the last year Unity has had to adapt to meet financial constraints that have affected the whole industry, but now we look to the future. Unity is here to stay, and we are keen to welcome new energy and ideas to the team, as we begin to build and invest in Unity’s new era and continue to champion Merseyside artists.

We are excited to offer this chance to work in an organisation with such strong historic and cultural roots. The role will have the opportunity to lead on Unity’s new programming direction while ensuring the continuation of Unity’s long established artistic identity and heritage.

Unity’s identity has been proudly established across generations of amazing artists. This legacy of prioritising the work and careers of artists, at a time when they need it most, is crucial to how we move forward. In 2024 it is full steam ahead for Unity and we are thrilled to bring on this new role to make that to happen.
