As part of our Creative’pool programme, supported by by Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, we’re excited to launch our Level Up Producer Course.
About the Course
Unity’s Level Up Producer Course offers a programme of support, training and guidance for a smaller cohort of artists and companies looking to self-produce their work to a high standard. Through a series of skills development, mentoring and networking opportunities, the course will help you develop productions to a level ready for touring.
The Level Up Producers Programme is an opportunity for 4-6 self-producing companies or artists to be attached to Unity over the course of 6 months as they build skills and confidence in their producing practice. They will take part in 2 intensive weekenders, as well as regular mentoring check-ins and cohort get-togethers between September 2021 and February 2022. After that, they will have another 6 months of mentoring and guidance from the Unity team as their projects come to life.
The Course will be bespoke to the successful companies, addressing the specific areas they wish to develop, challenges they face and ambitions they have for their work.
We ask that Companies apply with a project you would like to develop throughout your time on the Programme and eventually tour beyond Liverpool. This should be a project that isn’t a long way into development yet, and that you can use as a case study for the workshops and training you receive on the Programme. We hope this will be something that feels exciting, challenging and that you see as ‘levelling up’ for your work.
