Donate to Support Liverpool Artists through the 2022 Open Call Campaign
Last year with your support we raised £12,500 to support 10 more artists through our Open Call programme. Your generous donations in 2021 allowed Liverpool’s incredible creative community to stage brand-new shows, develop their work, make performances available online for isolating audiences, support communities through education programmes and pop-up events at places like Alder Hey and Liverpool One and, most crucially, it allowed these artists to receive income, wellbeing support and the skills to share Liverpool’s amazing talent with the world.
This year, we’re asking for your help once again as we aim to support 20 more.
As applications open, please consider giving to Unity to allow us continue this important programme and making sure artists are funded, supported and celebrated for years to come.
Finally, here’s a poem commissioned by the artists YOU supported last year about why your support meant so much
“It gave us a bit of hope, something to work towards, something to busy ourselves with and a place to put our energies, frustrations and creativity. This is a thank you for opening your doors to those on your door step, from us, your Open Call Creatives”.
£5 – If 100 people donate £5, Unity can film and produce a recording of an Open Call production to be published on a far-reaching online platform.
£10 – Covers the cost of a ticket in Unity’s charity ticket scheme.
£20 – If 5 people donate £20, Unity can provide free space for Liverpool artists and companies to develop ideas, rehears and create for free.
£50 – will go directly toward a Liverpool-based creative and allow them the opportunity to develop and stage their show.
£100 – Directly funds advertising and promo for a new Liverpool artist or company coming to Unity, so they can they share their talents with the world.
£200 – Can fund crucial wraparound events and education workshops to go hand in hand with shows coming to Unity.
£500 – Covers the tech support for one new Liverpool-based artist or company’s show at Unity.
£1250 – will fund an entire new artist or company show through the Unity Open Call Programme.
