Barely Visible - Unity Theatre

Saturday 19th February

Performed live at Unity

By Rowena Gander

Part of Unity’s Open Call

Barely Visible is an empowering physical solo performance that brings focus to common issues that queer women face, including sexualisation, (fe)male gaze and what it feels like to live in the shadows.

The performance incorporates the use of a 100-kilo vertical pole, of which the performer actively deconstructs and uses to show the audience how they can also become visible and in control.

Performed and choreographed by Rowena Gander with artist support from Elinor Randle.

Partial sound edit by Noel Jones.

Voice overs by Emily Price, Ben Philips, Joseph Owens and Leon Armstrong.

This work is supported by Unity Theatre as part of their Open Artist Callout, and Pole Purpose.

Watch Online

This performance will also be available to watch online approximately four weeks after the live performance. You will be able to book your Pay What You Can ticket for an online viewing following the live event.
