It’s A Living Thing! Workshop
Saturday 22nd March
10am – 5pm
This workshop is a welcoming, playful and creative introduction to puppetry in its multiple forms. Even if you’re familiar with puppetry, this is a chance to delve deeper into the life and thoughts of the puppet and explore its relationship with both the audience and its puppeteers!
You will learn the fundamentals of puppet manipulation; in particular table-top, lip sync and live-hand. We’ll also discover how simple everyday objects can be brought to life as puppets.
This session is led by Marc Parrett of theOBJECTproject, creator of extraordinary shows like The Ballad of the Underwater Daughter and PIXIEMATOSIS, whose puppetry was recently described by The Guardian as “quietly revolutionary!”
