12 November-12 May
Mothers who Make is a grass roots, national initiative, dedicated to supporting women who hold roles of both mother and artist, who care about both and do not want to compromise on either.
With hub coordinator Claire Bigley, MWM Liverpool runs from 10.30am – 12.30pm. The session is open to all MWM – painters, writers, actors, dancers, producers, film-makers – every kind of maker, is welcomed, and every kind of mother. Those of you with babies and preschool children can bring them with you!
We want our MWM hub to develop with you and provide a supportive, creative space in a number of ways; to connect, share, network and participate. We want it to be grown with and by you.

Presented by Mothers Who Make Liverpool and Unity Theatre Participation
Saturday 7th December Launch Event 1 – 3.30pm
Mothers Who Make Liverpool’s inaugural exhibition highlights and celebrates the everyday for local mother makers. The Mother Lode features 11 mother makers, honouring the messy entanglements of caring, domesticity, and artistic production. By offering glimpses of their lives, the photographs in the exhibition highlight the experiences of these women as they navigate their multifaceted identities as mothers and artists.Dawn Yow is a photographer whose work revolves around the maternal. She uses photography as a cathartic tool to explore and document the roller coaster of motherhood.
Exhibition runs until February 15th 2020. Open during box office hours.
