The untold story of the world’s first murderer.

After murdering his brother, in cold blood, we meet Cain, living out his life exiled from his homeland. Afflicted by his memories and haunted by figures from the past, Cain must now retrace his steps back to Eden in pursuit of answers.Origins is a psychological thriller that plunges into the heart of darkness.

Animikii Theatre are a Manchester-based physical theatre company run by Adam Davies (Tmesis Theatre) and Henry McGrath (Song of the Goat Theatre).

Tmesis Graduate Company is an annual Physical Fest training project in physical theatre in collaboration with the Unity Theatre.

The Unity comes alive for Physical Fest! Come early to see intimate performance, have a bite to eat, and enjoy tunes from our resident DJ after each show at our Festival Club.

ITALIAN STREET FOOD! Fritto will be serving delicious authentic Italian street food every night, outside the Unity before each show. From 6pm

Splatts gets Physical!

Unity Theatre are delighted to announce that we have some very special guests at Splatterdays on Saturday 21st May!

10.00am - 12.00pm (5-8yrs)
Who wants to sleep when you can have 5 more minutes? Come and explore the themes of bedtime and dreams in a workshop that combines puppetry, movement, and storytelling. Please remember to bring along your bedtime snuggly and of course, your imagination! With guest company Travelled Companions who brought us “Where Caterpillars Go…”

Travelled Companions will be performing their new show “5 More Minutes” as part of Young Fest -7/8th May at The Bluecoat.

1.00pm – 3.00pm (9-13yrs)
Simone Tani joins us for his playful introduction to masks. Put a mask on and become someone else. Have fun discovering a new voice or a new way to walk and move your body. Simone, from Italy is a core performer in the bouffant and clown companies Cabaret from the Shadows and Theatro Pomodoro.
