Growing up in a dysfunctional family had serious consequences for Paul Betney. Severe anxiety and physical ill health closed down his capacity to enjoy life and the world became a very small place. He became invisible, unseen. Most damaging of all, it was never talked about and eventually his world collapsed.

In this show Paul shares his journey out of this turmoil and tells how he was eventually able to open his world to life’s possibilities and finally be seen. Told with compassion, good humour and warmth this is a story of healing, growth and finding the joy.

About Paul:

Paul Betney is a psychotherapeutic counsellor in private practice. His work focuses mainly on family trauma, anxiety and ill health. He also has a background in stand-up comedy and now wants to combine these two passions in his new show. He has lived with Parkinson’s Disease for almost 30 years.
