The Mysteries: Doomsday
13 December-15 December
God sent his only son to earth. The people crucified him. God is angry, and someone must pay.
Doomsday is the third and final instalment in Tony Harrison’s mystery plays. It offers an apocalyptic vision of God’s dissatisfaction in man, threatening the final battle between good and evil.
Directed by Nick Bagnall (Globe Theatre, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse), Doomsday concludes an epic narrative in a genderblind production, integrating live music, songs and audience interaction in an almighty conclusion to the trilogy, signalling the end of days.
The Mysteries can be experienced individually or as a chronological trilogy.
Performed by MA Acting (Company) students.
This amateur production is presented in arrangement with Faber & Faber Ltd, publishers of The Mysteries by Tony Harrison.
- Suitable for ages 12yrs +
