The Conch – natural, delicate, strong yet breakable. Beautiful on the outside, soft pink edges fold inwards. What resides within? Something strange, ugly, mysterious, vulnerable, absurd? Will she reveal her true self – does she even know what her true self is?
A work in progress in its embryonic stages and first step into solo theatre making from Emma Hirons.
Expect clown, movement, spoken word and interaction – if you can coax her out of her shell.

The Mice that Chewed my Knickers
Come watch some new fancy characters finally come to life. In a big work-in-progress way, let’s strongly assume you’ll meet three big, sexy, juicy characters with some sort of interweaving storyline. A Scouse princess called Beans who’s afraid of jazz music, a taxi driver from Birmingham and his small and sickly dog, and a nervous system cosplaying as a waiter. Expect nudity and audience interaction, not in that order.

This year, the Tmesis Training Company presents a bold new ensemble performance inspired by the myth of the Minotaur. Through dynamic physical theatre, the company explores themes of power, identity, fear and belonging, reimagining the ancient story for today. Created in just one week by an ensemble of emerging performers alongside the Tmesis team, this energetic new work showcases the creativity, skill and imagination of the next generation of physical theatre artists.
