As a sixty-two-year-old woman gets ready for her first date in ages she has lots of fun; singing, dancing, playing dress up and acting out scenarios of what has been and what’s to come. She ticked ‘lesbian’ on her dating app because she had to make a choice, which is great because that’s what she wants from now on. As she gets ready, she plays with gender stereotypes, kicks agism into touch and nails her lesbianism to the highest mast.
But when the moment comes will she go on the date?
