This workshop introduces the fundamentals of clowning, a form of physical theatre that celebrates playfulness, connection with the audience, and following your creative impulses. Through practical exercises and games, participants will explore the joy of being present, embracing failure, and discovering their unique comic potential.

Simone Tani is the co-founder of Teatro Pomodoro (Nordic Fringe Network Award, Brighton Fringe 2017) and i Bugiardini (Sell-Out Award, Edinburgh Fringe 2014). A graduate of École Philippe Gaulier, he has worked in theatre for over 20 years, specialising in mask work, clown, and improvisation. He has led workshops at the University of Chester, National Taiwan University of Arts, LIPA, Hong Kong Baptist University, and numerous arts organisations around the world.
