A Verse For…Yesterday
Thursday 2nd — Saturday 4th July
7.30pm and 2pm
Step into the minds of 20 disabled artists as they explore growing up, childhood and the disabled experience through classic and self-written poetry. Yesterday explores finding yourself and your voice, even when it feels like the world and others are against you.
This process has been co-led by Tip Tray and RAWD and influenced by the views and poetry of the entire RAWD community.
RAWD (Random Acts of Wildness Disability) has spent over a decade co-creating joyful and inclusive spaces where disabled artists can thrive. RAWD are proudly Associate Company in Residence at Unity hosting weekly sessions that work towards theatre productions.
We believe creativity is a powerful vehicle for independence, confidence, and expression – enabling people to dream bigger, communicate more freely, and take up space that’s rightfully theirs.
Tip Tray Theatre is a disabled-led theatre company based in Knowsley and working across Merseyside. They champion emerging and underrepresented artists by creating opportunities for training and professional development, producing socially engaged theatre and specialising in access consultancy.
Supported by Arts Council England.
This year RAWD is celebrating its 15th Birthday by raising £15,000. For more information on RAWD and how to support please visit rawdproject.co.uk
