“Ukpaiu“ meaning strength in Igala is a moving stage play about mental health, silence, and the cost of emotional repression. through flashback and guided narration, the story follows a man whose fear of vulnerability and cultural expectations lead to tragic misunderstanding and wrongful conviction. As he is released from prison and attempts to rebuild his life, he struggles with shame, trauma, and identity unravel . Ukpaiu brings the  audience to look  beyond surface behavior and consider how unspoken pain can shape actions and outcomes. It is a reflective, emotional journey that challenges ideas of strength and asks us to listen more deeply and for individuals to be more expressive .
