Workshop: Introduction to working as a writer-in-the-room in a devised process
Monday 23rd February
6:00pm
Led by writer Caterina Incisa, this workshop aims to provide an introduction to devised work for makers interested in learning more about creating collaborative work in the room, and specifically, the role of the writer in this style of working. In this two-hour workshop, Caterina will guide participants through various writing exercises which she used in her most recent devised process, working as a writer-in-the-room with Bric à Brac Theatre on an ACE-funded R&D on a new play called How to Train the Perfect Woman. This play delves into the parallel lives of two women raised within a deeply misogynistic cult where one escapes, and one remains. You can watch a 2-minute BTS trailer here, which outlines the devised process used.
