It's gone to print!Friday, 07 November 2014 00:00 | Posted by Sam Freeman
There's always somewhat of a sigh of relief when the process of putting together a brochure ends - it's a massive job co-ordinating every department in the building alongside designers, external companies, directors, printer and many more... It's been sent to print and we're really happy with what we created. The season goes on sale officially next week, but I thought I'd pop up a few of my highlights to build anticipation... Enjoy!
Sam (Marketing Manager)
P.S. All the shows will go onsale next wednesday (apart from Mark Watson who is on sale already).
#1 - Mark Watson: Flaws
Mark Watson is one of my favourite comedians, the man's a genius. I saw this show in Edinburgh and it's clever, tender and thoughtful. And funny. Did I mention funny? Incredibly funny. More? Click here!
#2 - Liverpool Acoustic Festival
It's back for a second year - last year was brilliant, I'd never seen acoustic music presented in such a beautiful way, it was really eye opening. I'm thrilled that this year there's Marketa Irglova, who is an Academy Award Winner and star of the film Once - The Lost Brothers who've recorded with Brendan Benson and appeared at many international festivals and loads of masterclasses and special events!
#3 - Josie Long
I've been pestering Josie's agent for about 6 months to get a date booked in and I'm thrilled she'll be performing. I was somewhat gutted not to see her show in Edinburgh on account of it being sold out. Smart, clever comedy!
#4 - Workshops
The thing in the brochure I'm most proud of is our workshop programme for adults. We decided that we wanted to provide low-cost high-quality workshops where different skill levels could learn and develop. We've kept them at a great value £10 and recruited some amazing practitioners. These will be the book straight away events!
